Continue to Toledo, a World Heritage City, blending Arab, Jewish, and Christian influences.

Itinerary

At first when you get to Madrid, make sure to go to our office 15 minutes before your tour starts. That way, you will not miss anything. Then, board on one of our comfy buses and get ready for some fun!

The first stop is the Royal Monastery of El Escorial. It is like a super old building from the 15th century that's so important, UNESCO calls it a World Heritage Site. Imagine that! It used to show off how powerful the government was back in the day. The tour guide will tell you cool stories about the place, like how it took 21 whole years to build! The building looks really cool with its Renaissance style and symmetrical design. You will check out places like the Habsburg’s Palace, the Chapter House, the Basilica, and even a fancy library. After that, we will again hop back on the bus and drive a bit to the Valley of the Fallen. It is about 9 kilometres away and has a huge cross on top that you can see from miles away. There is this underground church built into the mountain, and it is all topped off with the World’s Largest Cross.

Once we are done exploring, we will head back to our office in Madrid, but do not worry, there is more fun to come! After checking in again, we will jump on another cozy bus, this time heading to Toledo. Toledo is a super cool city, and it has been a World Heritage City since 1986. It used to be the capital of Spain, and it is like this mix of Arab, Jewish, and Christian cultures. Our guide will take you on a walking tour, and you will see amazing places like the San Juan de los Reyes Monastery. This place has beautiful courtyard cloisters and royal coats of arms. The Catholic Monarchs sponsored it to be a royal mausoleum.

Next up is the Synagogue of Sta. Maria la Blanca, which started as a synagogue but turned into a church a long time ago. Now, it is a museum with a cool Arabic style that you will get to explore. There is also a famous painting by a guy named el Greco at the Church of St. Tomé – it is called "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz." Did you know el Greco actually lived in Toledo? The walking tour keeps going until we reach the Cathedral, which is one of the most important Gothic Cathedrals in Spain. You will see it from the outside, and then the guided tour will end. But wait, there's free time for you to explore Toledo on your own before heading back to Madrid.
