How It Works

For groups of 12 or more, you may send us an inquiry at booking@sightseeingo.com. Although we do not guarantee bulk deals for all our tours, there are some tours for which we can offer discounted pricing. Ordinary hop-on-hop-off bus tickets are entitled to group savings. Attractions, pass items and combo tickets aren't.

Due the nature of this type of tour and varying demand, group travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that the group will be able to travel altogether as the available seats vary from stop to stop and depends on demand each day. The group may need to split up and/or wait for the next bus(s).

As, we cannot guarantee that the group shall be able to travel together as one group, therefore we will reduce the group size down to 4-5 smaller groups per ticket (depending upon group size).

The temperature inside is a freezing -10 degrees Celsius, making it a unique and chilly experience for the people visiting the place. Walk into a place where the walls, furniture, and even the art are all made of ice. It is like stepping into a frozen wonderland right in Amsterdam. When you enter the Amsterdam Icebar, you will find two bars. The first one is a 'warm' tavern, and the second one is the actual ice bar located deeper inside the building. As a visitor, you receive three tokens – two silver and one golden. The golden token can be exchanged at the warm tavern, while the silver tokens can be used at the ice bar.

The warm tavern is the perfect place to start your icy adventure. Here, you can use your tokens to get a variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Whether you fancy a beer, wine, cocktail, shot, soft drink, or something warm like tea or coffee, the warm tavern has got you covered. As you sip on your chosen drink, you will be introduced to Willem Barentsz, a 16th-century Dutch Arctic explorer. Know about his exciting journey to find the Northeast Passage to the Indies. After the warm tavern experience, it is time to gear up for the icy part of your adventure. On your way to the ice bar, you can pick up some warm clothing to prepare for the journey to the North Pole. Once you step into the ice bar, you will be surrounded by the magical world of ice. The entire bar is modeled after the island of Nova Zembla, where Barentsz and his crew were shipwrecked for almost a year. It is a frozen replica of their Arctic expedition.

In the ice bar, you can use your two silver tokens to order drinks like beers, shots, or even orange juice – all served in glasses made entirely of ice! You can redeem your mobile or printed voucher at the meeting location: ICEBAR Amsterdam, Amstel 194-196, 1017 AG Amsterdam.

You will receive a ticket in exchange for your voucher, which you must keep until the expiry date/ tour.

Please check your ticket to know when it expires.

After exchanging your voucher for a ticket, your voucher will no longer be valid.

In loss of voucher/ticket, company is not liable for any refund.

Ticket/ Voucher is valid to the travel date you choose.

Icebar management reserves the right to refuse entrance if guests are intoxicated, underage, or unable to prove their age. Valid ID may be required.

Your timeslot indicates when you can enter the actual Icebar.

You should arrive at least 20 minutes in advance so that you have plenty of time to enjoy your first free drink in the warm bar.

You can spend up to 20 minutes in the actual Icebar while you enjoy two more free drinks, after which you can spend as much time in the warm bar as you want.

The estimated duration indicated includes the time before the timeslot.

Operational update:

Starting from 23rd of April, the Icebar will have limited opening hours from Monday till Thursday. The new available timeslots will be: 16:00hrs until 22:00hrs (every 20 minutes). These limited timeslots will be applied until the 31st of May.

Friday till Sunday there will be original opening hours (12:00hrs first timeslot, until 00:20hrs last timeslot).
