Attractions, pass items and combo tickets aren't.

Due the nature of this type of tour and varying demand, group travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that the group will be able to travel altogether as the available seats vary from stop to stop and depends on demand each day. The group may need to split up and/or wait for the next bus(s).

As, we cannot guarantee that the group shall be able to travel together as one group, therefore we will reduce the group size down to 4-5 smaller groups per ticket (depending upon group size).

Overview

The gigantic and incredibly shaped icebergs floating in the water is something you must not miss to see in Iceland. Here you will witness transparent, opaque as well as blue ice. Some of the icebergs have gray streaks that are the result of a long back volcanic eruption. Grab the opportunity to sail among the natural wonders and feel the divine peace. Due to retreating Breiðarmerkurjökull glacier lake is formed. On the way, you will come across oddly shaped icebergs of different sizes and the Iceland’s tallest mountain Hvannadalshnjúkur.Between the lagoon and Skaftafell National Park, and the black sand desert is also present.

Itinerary

Iceland is known for scenic beauty and a Jokulsarlon tour is one of the best ways to uncover the charm of this contrasting country where the ice and fire co-exist. You also have the opportunity to sail among the icy beauties during the excursion. You can see the ancient ice and even taste it. These icebergs break off from Vatnajokull glacier.

The lagoon creates a feel of spectacular tranquility as the old ice drifts silently into the lake and melts slowly. The vast lagoon has spread its arms for 7 square miles and 814ft deep. This lagoon can be recognized in many Hollywood movies like Batman Begins, two James Bond and the Tomb Raider.

There are various stops such as the gorgeous Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. The Seljalandsfoss is a portion of Seljandsa River and has origination in Eyjafjallajokull glacier. Seljalandsfoss is interesting and famous as you can easily walk behind it. Do not forget to bring a waterproof coat or raincoat if you want to enjoy the walk behind it. Skogafoss is a popular Icelandic waterfall that made its place in the film Thor: The Dark World and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. For dinner, we will stop at Vik i Myrdal and there you can enjoy walking to the black sand beach and rock formation.

You can see various exciting places along the way; however, if the weather permits. The Volcanoes like Vestman Islands, Eyjafjallajökull, Hekla, Öræfajökull and Katla.Thefamous glaciers like Mýrdalsjökull, Langjökull, Vatnajökull and glacier snouts. Waterfalls, sandy plains like Mýrdalssandur, Skógasandur, Skeiðarársandur, Breiðamerkursandur, and Sólheimasandur. You will also get the opportunity to see mossy lava fields and fertile farmland. All the above-mentioned sites are famous tourist attractions of Iceland.
