Overview

If you are a nature lover than your wait is over! The tour is perfect for the people who are fond of spending time with the creation of Mother Earth. Get the opportunity to visit Iceland’s south coast that treasures the beautiful natural creations. The divine experience away from the hustle-bustle of the city makes the memories for a lifetime. The South Iceland is unique as it is the flattest location of Iceland and the high mountains shield and prevents the farms from strong winds. Thus, it is the most suitable place for grain farming.

Itinerary

Get the opportunity to know about the country’s seismic and volcanic life with multimedia presentations, simulators and enormous models in the Lava center. In this museum, you can learn about the science that was behind the creation of the country. The volcanic eruptions, lava flow, glacial floods, and different inner forces are visualized here.

The tour will take you to the small seaside village of Vik. The peaceful village is set along the coastline poised in between rugged sea cliffs, glacier topped mountains and beaches of black sand. It is the perfect place for photography.

The stops on this trip also include the Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. The Skogafoss is the beautiful waterfall that is an excellent place to stretch the legs while exploring the Southern Coast of Iceland. Due to the spray produced by the cascade, the rainbow is produced any time, the sun emerges.  The land below is flat and thus visitors can go near the waterfall and get drenched which is tempting during summer.

The Seljalandsfoss waterfall is fed by water obtained by Eyjafjallajokull volcano that is glacier-capped. The waterfall cascades over cliffs and thus it is possible to walk behind it. Make sure to carry a waterproof coat or a raincoat. This waterfall shows its presence in the film Thor: The Dark World and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Visit the Reynisfjara, which is the spectacular beach of black sand. It is necessary to follow the guidelines and not go close to the ocean as it may be dangerous. Feel the breathtaking and unusual experience in the glacier tongue Solheimajokull. The tour gives the opportunity to walk up to a lake that is present in front of the retreating glacier.
